The challenge

Shade one tetromino in every region and connect them without forming 2×2 blocks.

How to play

  1. Shade exactly four connected cells in each region to form an L, I, T or S tetromino.
  2. All shaded cells must connect, no 2×2 block may be fully shaded, and equal tetrominoes may not touch across a region edge.

Advanced strategies

  • Find which L, I, T or S shape fits each region; also check global connectivity and forbidden 2×2 blocks.

We do not yet have a sufficiently verified account of this game’s origins. Rather than guess, we avoid attributing a date or creator without reliable evidence.

Tips and strategies
